Lillehammer, Norway (November 30, 2022) – Women’s Nordic Combined and Women’s Ski Jumping will compete in their first World Cups of the season this weekend in Lillehammer, Norway. Men’s Nordic Combined will also be competing in Lillehammer, as they will attend their second World Cup of the season.

Men’s Nordic Combined Preview
Ben Loomis and Jared Shumate both competed in their first Men’s Nordic Combined World Cup of the season last weekend in Ruka, Finland. The recap from last weekend can be found here. Jasper Good competed this summer at the Oberstdorf and Tschagguns Summer Grand Prix. Good was able to card a 33rd place finish in Oberstdorf and two 39th place finishes in Tschagguns. Good also placed second in the HS100/10km event at the USA Nordic National Championships this summer. Stephen Schumann competed at the Oberstdorf Summer Grand Prix, placing 45th overall. Schumann was also able to notch a third place finish in the HS100/10km event at the USA Nordic National Championships.
Women’s Nordic Combined Preview
For Women’s Nordic Combined, Alexa Brabec is coming off of a successful summer. At the Oberwiesenthal Summer Grand Prix, Brabec recorded a new SGP personal best, finishing 9th overall. She then took second place in the HS100/km event at the USA Nordic National Championships. Annika Malacinski kept her momentum rolling from last season, as she made her presence known during the Summer Grand Prix circuit. Malacinski carded 10th place finishes in both the Oberwiesenthal and Tschagguns SGP competitions, along with a 14th place finish at the Oberstdorf SGP. She then ended her summer with a first place finish in the HS100/5km event at the USA Nordic National Championships.
Women’s Ski Jumping Preview
Annika Belshaw is coming off of a great summer for Women’s Ski Jumping, as she looks to carry her momentum into the World Cup circuit. To start things off, Belshaw recorded 10th and 12th place finishes in the HS98 events at the Lillehammer Continental Cup this summer. Belshaw then swept the podium at USA Nordic National Championships, taking first place in both the HS100 and HS128 events. Belshaw then ended the summer at the Lake Placid COC, earning 4th and 5th place finishes in separate HS100 events, as well as a 5th place finish in the HS128 event. After representing the United States for Women’s Ski Jumping in Beijing, Anna Hoffmann started off her summer with a third place finish in the HS128 event at USA Nordic National Championships. Hoffmann then competed in the Lake Placid COC, earning 6th and 8th place finishes in the HS100 events. Hoffmann ended her summer at the Lake Placid COC with an 8th place finish in the HS128 event.
Paige Jones started her summer off at the Lillehammer COC, carding 16th and 19th place finishes during the HS98 events. During USA Nordic National Championships, Jones was able to take second overall in both the HS100 and HS128 competitions. At the Lake Placid COC, Jones placed 6th overall in the HS100 and 10th in the HS128 events. Sam Macuga had one of her best summers yet for Women’s Ski Jumping, placing 13th and 15th overall in the HS98 events at the Lillehammer COC. Macuga then earned a third place finish in the HS100 event at USA Nordic National Championships. Macuga closed out her summer at the Lake Placid COC, placing 7th twice in the HS100 competitions, and then finished things off with a 7th place finish in the HS128 event.
