18-year-old Alexa Brabec was a member of the first team of women to represent the United States in Nordic Combined at a World Championship event. She also competed in the 2020 Youth Olympics. One day, she hopes to compete at the Olympics on the world stage.

Brabec is a huge soccer fan, and growing up, she idolized U.S. Women’s National Team Member, Tobin Heath. Brabec still plays in the spring and the fall as cross-training for skiing. Her sister, Haley, is also a Nordic Combined athlete.

Brabec’s best World Cup finish came during the 2021/22 season, as she placed 20th overall in the Mass Start Hs106/5km World Cup in Val di Fiemme, Italy. Brabec was then able to record a new Continental Cup personal best during the 2022/23 season, finishing 6th overall in the HS109/7.5km Continental Cup in Rena, Norway.

At the 2024 FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships, Brabec placed 2nd overall in the HS102/5km event, bringing home the first-ever medal in Women’s Nordic Combined for the United States at Junior World Championships. Brabec also finished 2nd overall in the Team Sprint HS102/2×4.5 event with Kai McKinnon, bringing home the first-ever medal in a Women’s Nordic Combined team event at Junior Worlds for the United States.
