Park City, Utah (February 14th, 2024) – The Men’s Ski Jumping World Cup circuit resumes this weekend, as athletes will be competing in two World Cup events on Saturday, February 17th, in Sapporo, Japan. Jason Colby will be making his World Cup debut this weekend for Men’s Ski Jumping, after the 17-year-old represented the United States at the 2024 Youth Olympic Games and FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships earlier this season.
USA Nordic’s U.S. Cup Series
The 2023/2024 USA Nordic Sport U.S. Cup Series will conclude this weekend, with the final event of the season being held by Harris Hill. The Pepsi Challenge and U.S. Cup will be held on Saturday, February 17th, with event information being available on the Harris Hill website.

Men’s Ski Jumping – Sapporo, Japan: Casey Larson, Erik Belshaw, Jason Colby, Tate Frantz
Men’s Ski Jumping Preview
Casey Larson, Erik Belshaw, Jason Colby and Tate Frantz will compete for the United States at the Men’s Ski Jumping World Cup events in Sapporo, Japan. Larson most recently competed in the Men’s Ski Jumping World Cup events in Lake Placid, New York, placing 36th and 40th in the Individual HS128 events, and 10th overall in the Super Team HS128. Belshaw, Colby and Frantz competed at the 2024 FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Planica, Slovenia, last week. Belshaw came away with a silver medal in the Individual HS102 event, becoming the first-ever American in Men’s Ski Jumping to reach the podium at the FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships. Belshaw, Colby and Frantz competed in the Men’s Team HS102 with Sawyer Graves, as they placed 6th overall, with Belshaw and Frantz placing 5th in the Mixed Team HS102 as well. This will be Colby’s World Cup debut, after representing the United States in the Youth Olympic Games and FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships. Colby’s highest international finish came earlier this season at the FIS Cup competition in Rasnov, Romania, where he finished 3rd overall in the HS97 event on October 15, 2023.
