Wisla, Poland (November 3, 2022) – Men’s Ski Jumping will kick-off the FIS World Cup circuit this weekend in Wisla, Poland. USA Nordic will have two athletes competing from November 4-6, with the competition schedule being found here.
Athletes Competing in World Cup
Men’s Ski Jumping – Wisla, Poland: Andrew Urlaub, Decker Dean
Urlaub and Dean are coming off of a successful summer, competing in the Lillehammer Continental Cup, Rasnov Summer Grand Prix, and Lake Placid Continental Cup. In Lillehammer, Urlaub came away with 17th and 29th place finishes in the HS140 competition, with Dean coming in 21st twice on the weekend. At the Rasnov SGP, Urlaub and Dean competed in the first-ever “Super Team” competition, placing 7th overall on the HS97. Urlaub and Dean then recorded new SGP personal bests in the HS97 individual competition, as Urlaub placed 13th and Dean placed 17th. The summer was then capped off in Lake Placid, with Urlaub finishing 18th in the HS100, and then notching 22nd and 28th place finishes in the HS128 competitions. Dean was able to place 21st overall in the HS100, along with 22nd and 24th place finished in the HS128 events.
