Park City, Utah (March 22, 2022) – Today, USA Nordic Sport (USANS) announced the resignation of its Executive Director Billy Demong. Demong will remain an important member of the Board of Directors and will act as an advisor to the Executive Committee during the transition. The Board has begun a search for its next leader.
Demong, a 2010 Olympic gold and silver medalist in Nordic Combined, joined USANS in May of 2016. During his tenure, he served through two Olympic Games and three World Championships. Under his watch, Demong oversaw many accomplishments including the transition of the organization from USA Ski Jumping to USA Nordic Sport; Addition of programs for Men’s and Women’s Nordic Combined and Women’s Ski Jumping; Significant growth of the coaching staff and the addition of key personnel in finance, communications, partnership and sponsor fulfillment; Onboarding of key partners, such as NYU Langone, backcountry.com and Paul Smith’s College; and Significant increase in revenue over his tenure.
“Billy recently informed the USANS Executive Committee of his desire to step down from his role as Executive Director following the Beijing Olympics. Billy has provided strong leadership, guiding the organization through its growth from representing one discipline to now four. He leaves a strong foundation from which to build,” said Board of Directors Chairman Tom Bickner. “Originally, Billy agreed to assume the Executive Director role for two years. We are pleased that he stayed in the position for six years and that he will continue his close involvement with USANS to assist with our vision, strategy, partnerships, and networking priorities over time,” continued Bickner. “He has engaged and inspired our community, giving us some meaningful momentum that will carry forward.”
“While I look forward to a new career challenge, I know that I have made significant contributions to setting USANS up for continued success,” said Demong. “It’s time for some new ideas to cement the foundation for American Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping that we have built together. I am excited to assist with a smooth transition, which is already in process, and to stay involved as a member of the Board. I am proud of my accomplishments over the past six years, and believe that the future for USANS is bright.”

Hello my name is Michael Haberl! I was wondering where the final seven events of the Nordic Combined Season are shown here in America. I just recently watched the events from Seefeld on Peacock, but peacock doesn’t seem to show the rest of the season. I hope you receive this message. Thank You!
Hello! Due to media rights, only the Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined World Cup World Cup competitions in Austria are broadcast on Peacock. All other Ski Jumping World Cup events can be watched on skiandsnowbaord.live. However, Nordic Combined is not streamed on skiandsnowboard.live, and sometimes we cannot find a local livestream to share with our fans. If any of the Nordic Combined World Cups for the rest of the year are available to be streamed, we will inform our supporters.
