Tess Arnone, Nordic Combined - USA Nordic Sport

Tess Arnone

  • Home Town Steamboat Springs, CO
  • Home Club Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club (SSWSC)
  • Birthdate October 13, 2003
  • Year Named to Team 2018

Tess Arnone was first strapped into a pair of skis at 18 months old. Growing up in Steamboat Springs in a family of skiers, she didn’t have much choice in the matter. Her dad, Patrick was once an alpine skier, but Arnone felt more inclined towards the world of cross country (although she still enjoys alpine skiing in her free time). Arnone has already hit a career milestone, as one of the first female athletes to represent the United States in Nordic Combined at a World Championship event. In the future, she hopes to attend the 2026 Olympics.

When asked who her personal sports hero was growing up, Arnone responded:

“I look up to all high-level athletes. Knowing the amount of hard work and determination that is required to travel, train, compete, and be advocates for their sport, makes me look up to them all. I feel that anyone who puts in the time that it takes to be an athlete deserves to be looked up to, no matter their skill, age, or sport.”
