When Grant Andrews was a kid growing up in Steamboat Springs, CO, his dad threw him into ski jumping because he thought it looked cool. Little did he know Andrews would end up falling in love with the feeling of flying. It wasn’t long before Andrews was tuning into the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, watching childhood sports heroes Bill Demong and Johnny Spillane take a team silver and deciding to pursue his own Olympic dream in Nordic Combined. Andrews was named to the U.S. Men’s National Nordic Combined Team in 2017 and has been pursuing that dream ever since.

Outside of skiing, Andrews attends the University of Utah and enjoys spending time being active in the vast outdoor landscapes of Utah. He boasts a myriad of nicknames, including (but not limited to) grandrews, granchula, grandalf, droid, grunt, maverick, and more. He takes pride in his effort to learn Japanese on Duolingo, enjoys rocking a new pair of socks on competition days.
